nurtura body
Nurtura Body translates to “nurture a body”
at every stage of its becoming.
Nurtura Body exists at the intersection of the life cycle and the healing body. It was born from years of sitting at the birth portal — witnessing what bodies carry, what they release, and what they are capable of when met with genuine care and intentional touch.
This is a practice rooted in the full arc of human experience. Not a wellness brand. Not a spa. A threshold space — for bodies in transition, practitioners seeking depth, and anyone ready to be met with presence and skill.

Cara Le Ann (she/her) is an NCBTMB-approved Massage Instructor, Licensed Midwife, Licensed Massage Therapist and body practitioner who has been serving individuals and families through the art and science of touch since 2010. With over a decade of hands-on experience and more than 1,000 hours of accredited training, Cara teaches and practices massage through a lens of deep listening where the body’s story, tension, and tenderness are all pathways toward healing.
Her approach honors the interconnectedness of the entire body as a living system. She specializes in Prenatal and Postpartum Massage Therapy, Chest | Breast Massage, and Internal (Female) Pelvic Bodywork. Cara works with people across the lifespan—from newborns to elders—supporting each stage with compassion, curiosity, and skill.
As a Licensed Midwife and educator, Cara brings a wealth of anatomical knowledge grounded in the understanding that healing happens when the body feels safe, seen, and allowed to release. Her work invites space for grief to be heard and transformation to unfold naturally.
Cara has always believed in dissolving the artificial divides between children and adults—barriers that often prevent mothers and parents from receiving the care they need. In her practice, postpartum care is revolutionary in its inclusivity: you are welcome to bring your newborn to any and all postpartum bodywork sessions. There will be a variety of soft, safe spaces nearby where your baby can rest and feel your proximity while you receive care. By nurturing both parent and child together, Cara reimagines postpartum healing as a shared, integrated experience of rest, restoration, and connection.
Rooted in reproductive and racial justice, Cara advocates for body autonomy, informed choice in birth, and equitable access to quality healthcare for all—especially for communities impacted by colonial and systemic oppression. Through her massage trainings and private practice, she hopes to empower others to carry this knowledge and care into the world.
