Prenatal Massage Training (Portland, OR)

Nurtura Body Prenatal Bodywork Training & Certification

Build skills you'll use with every client — not just pregnant ones — while earning your Nurtura Body Prenatal Massage Certification. This 32-hour program combines a foundational Pregnancy Essentials day with three additional days of hands-on, in-depth practice.

Pregnancy reshapes the body over nine months — posture shifts, the pelvic floor adapts, the low back and breasts carry new demands — and each stage brings its own set of musculoskeletal challenges and adaptations. This training approaches that process with care and respect, giving you advanced manual therapy tools to address common concerns, including:

  • SI joint discomfort

  • Leg cramps

  • Round ligament tension

  • Headaches

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Labor preparation

What You'll Learn:

  • Benefits, precautions, and contraindications of prenatal massage

  • Recognizing physiological changes and high-risk symptoms relevant to bodywork

  • Postural assessment and realignment strategies

  • Separating pregnancy massage myth from fact

  • Safe, supportive sidelying, prone, and semi-reclining positioning and draping

  • Techniques to create ease, space, and breath through sidelying work

  • Body mechanics that protect you and support the client experience
